Your Union has continued to engage with Australia Post as work to replace the withdrawn polo shirts continues. This follows the concerns raised by members and the CWU regarding the safety and suitability of the newly issued polos, which were subsequently withdrawn and subjected to independent ARPANSA testing.
Australia Post has now confirmed the availability of an additional interim garment – a UPF 50+ hi‑vis yellow drill shirt, which has passed independent testing and meets safety expectations for outdoor work.
The shirt is available to order immediately.

In addition to the option to order this new interim garment, you may continue to wear other approved interim garments, including old uniform and other alternative polos, until this matter is entirely resolved.
We will continue engaging with Australia Post and monitor the testing and replacement process closely. We will keep members informed as new information becomes available.
Your safety and protection at work remains our priority.
We will keep members informed as this important issue evolves. In the meantime, should you require any further information, please contact your State Branch Official for assistance.
