Increase to Christmas celebrations contribution
Sometimes, it’s the little things that count.
One of those little things that we know many of our members look forward to is the opportunity to get together with your colleagues and celebrate the season that is upon us. And after the year you’ve just had, we know many of you will be looking forward to this more than ever before.
Australia Post has traditionally contributed $10 to each employee towards holding local workplace Christmas gatherings. A few years back, the Union successfully advocated for this amount to be increased to $15.
I’m pleased to report that following discussions with Australia Post over the past week, it has been agreed for this amount to increase again this year, to $20.
We hope this increase assists you with planning your local workplace Christmas event and that you enjoy the opportunity to let your hair down a little as we close this mammoth year out.
Please remember to ensure however you choose to celebrate with your colleagues this year, that you do so in a COVID-safe way.
