Job Cuts

Further Telstra job losses flagged

Telstra has flagged further redundancies on top of those that are currently the subject of consultation.

On 5 November, Telstra notified the CWU of proposed changes in Sales Operation and Enablement (within Business Services) that would result in 36 existing positions being made redundant, with 15 new ones being created.

Another reorganisation in the Corporate Services team in Property, Telstra Operations will mean the loss of 16 positions, with the creation of 7 new ones.

Any members affected by these proposals should contact their state branches immediately as the timelines being proposed for initial consultations are tight.
