H&S Rep training courses

Health & Safety Representative Training Courses

The Work Health & Safety (WHS) Act 2011 provisions an entitlement for Health and Safety Representatives (HSR) to attend an approved training course, fully paid for and within paid time, with a provider of their choice in consultation with the employer — and for this training to be undertaken as soon as reasonably practicable and within three months of the request.

Further, HSRs must complete all five days of the initial Commonwealth HSR training within six months of their appointment date.

State Branches run and/or are affiliated with various Comcare Approved training courses across the country. If you are an HSR and have not yet completed your initial WHS training, please contact your State Branch Official for information on getting registered for a Union endorsed course.
