Amalgamation of CEPU NSW P&T, Queensland and SA/NT Communications Branches and also amalgamation of NSW T&S and VIC T&S Branches
Members are advised that the CEPU National Council at its meeting of 8 June 2022 carried a resolution to approve and submit rule changes to the Fair Work Commission to allow the amalgamation of the CEPU NSW P&T Branch, Queensland Communications Branch and the SA/NT Communications Branch to form the Communications Division Central Branch and the NSW T&S Branch and the Victorian T&S Branch to form the Communications Division T&S Branch. This follows on from the CEPU Communications Divisional Conference meeting of 29 March 2022 voting in favour of the amalgamation and rules changes necessary to enable the amalgamation. Members should note that the decision of the CEPU Communications Divisional Conference meeting of 29 March 2022 was submitted to each of the State Branch Committees of Management (BCOMs) to ratify the Divisional Conference decision. Each BCOM ratified the decision of the Divisional Conference.
