Bargaining for a new Enterprise Agreement in Decipha (a wholly owned subsidiary of Australia Post) is due to start in a couple of weeks.
In preparation for negotiations the CWU has been talking to members about their priorities for this round of bargaining. Membership meetings and membership surveys are being conducted by State branches.

Members have also identified superannuation as an area of concern. Because the current superannuation system is linked to paid work workers engaged in casual, part-time and low paying jobs (i.e. most Decipha workers) are significantly disadvantaged when it comes to retirement savings. Women in particular are disadvantaged because continue to earn less than men and are more likely to move in and out of paid work to care for family.
We need your feedback as we get closer to beginning bargaining. Contact your State branch if you have not had your say on the issues that are most important to you in this EA.
Now is a good time for members to talk to non-members about joining the union. It’s their chance to have a say and be represented by the union in bargaining.
