AURs and Officials from across the country took part in vehicle assessments at the Automotive Research Centre in Anglesea, Victoria this week.
Several vehicle manufactures supplied vehicles that may potentially end up as part of the Australia Post fleet for assessment.
Our AURs’ role on the day was to drive these vehicles in different situations, including highway driving, 5% gradient and rough terrain and to thoroughly assess the capabilities of each vehicle driven
This was done in 3 different vehicle categories namely Linehaul, General Fleet and Vans.
These assessments will be used in future discussions between the CWU and Australia Post to determine vehicles to be sourced for future operations.
