Bargaining for EBA11 is well and truly underway. Further meetings were held this week.
The overwhelming response to our member survey has allowed us to begin to prepare the claims which will form the foundations of our bargaining strategy.
The first of the two meetings were spent talking through a number of these preliminary claims, with the second of the two focussing on matters affecting the retail occupational group.
Leading up to the Easter public holidays, formal bargaining meetings will not be held next week.
Rather, the CWU will finalise the compilation of our log of claims, which will reflect our members’ desires to pursue an Agreement which delivers recognition, respect and job security. These finalised claims will also be shared with members.
Australia Post will use the break in talks in order to begin costing our preliminary claims and preparing their response.
Discussions are scheduled to recommence from April 3. We’ll keep members up to date as the bargaining process continues.
In the meantime, should you require any further information, please contact your Branch Official.
