Telstra has announced a joint venture with Accenture

This morning, Telstra notified the Union of a major development that is expected to impact our members in the Data and AI sectors. Telstra has announced a joint venture with Accenture, which will affect 726 roles within Telstra’s Data and AI teams across Australia and India.

To address your concerns and provide clarity on the details of this proposed joint venture, the Union has arranged a meeting with Telstra on Thursday, 16 January. The purpose of this meeting is to gather essential information about the changes and to advocate on your behalf. We will ensure that all relevant information is shared with you as soon as it becomes available.

The Union is fully committed to protecting your wages and working conditions throughout this transition and beyond. For those employees who are unable to secure positions within the new entity, we will ensure you have access to all redundancy entitlements.

We understand that this announcement may raise concerns and uncertainty. Please know that the Union is here to support you every step of the way.

We will provide regular updates and if you have any immediate questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact your State Branch Official for assistance.
