Postal Reform - it's time to fight
Australia Post's propaganda campaign about Ahmed’s proposals is running strong, but there is one secret he’s desperate to keep – making those changes is still unlawful! To do what he wants to your Post Office he needs the Senate to agree. He’s got Malcolm Turnbull doing his bidding, but that’s no guarantee that the Senate won’t use a “disallowance motion” to block the changes. We’re fighting to block:
- Extending two speed mail to all customers – “Priority” and “Regular”
- Extending the time to deliver “Regular” mail by two days
- Excessive price rises - $1.00 for regular mail and (according to the media) $1.50 for priority mail.
