Phase 3 of Post's 900 job cuts
The CWU met with Post on 20 January for a briefing on Post’s proposed Phase 3 of the 900 job cuts that it commenced last year. Jobs cut under Phase3 are expected to be gone by 30 June this year. There are potentially over 100 jobs impacted by the cuts. These are across all business units and all States. Frontline operational and customer facing roles are supposedly out of scope.
Post said they will be talking to each of the CWU State branches about the jobs proposed to be cut in their State. CWU members should contact their CWU State Branch if you are concerned that your job maybe part of the proposed cuts.
