The CWU National Office advised Post of an issue with an NBC110 motorcycle in Forbes Delivery Centre in NSW where the front forks became separated from the front of the motorcycle when it was placed on its stand in the bike shed.
Post has confirmed that they have raised the issue with Honda Australia who say this is the first instance of this being reported. Honda Japan has requested that the entire front end of the motorcycle be sent for forensic testing as a matter of priority.
In the interim a Honda Motorcycle Service Bulletin has been provided to Post’s dealer network, servicing agents and Fleet Services representatives. The bulletin provides advice on a method to inspect the motorcycles and ensure the safety of the Posties. Click here to read the bulletin.
